Audience

This training workshop will help managers to build a positive understanding of neurodiversity and to champion the benefits an inclusive workplace culture can bring to those who are neurodivergent. Learners will gain an understanding of neurodiverse conditions and how they can best support team members who are neurodivergent.

Duration

A half-day awareness training workshop for managers

Delegate rate

Approximately £100 per day per delegate. Charges depend on how many delegates book.


By attending this half-day awareness workshop, managers will:

  • Understand what is meant by the term ‘neurodiversity’ and what it means to be ‘neurodivergent’.
  • Be introduced to the various neurodiverse conditions an individual can be diagnosed with or self-identify with.
  • Recognise the benefits of neurodiversity within the workplace and society, and the benefits a workplace can bring a person with a neurodiverse condition.
  • Understand the law around the Equality Act (2010), their responsibility as a manager and what adjustments are required.
  • Consider the positive and practical actions they can take to be more inclusive and the impact those actions can make beyond the Equality Act (2010).
  • Feel confident in being an ally to their colleagues and championing building a more inclusive workplace culture for all.

Learners will be introduced to the various neurodiverse conditions an individual can be diagnosed with or self-identify with.

Content including but not limited to:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia

  • Tourette’s
